Em Vargem Grande Paulista, a casa não é construída, é montada. A premissa é explicitar a inteligência industrial: metal, concreto e vidro se articulam num sistema de encaixes claros. A arquitetura deve ser legível. O piso térreo é definido por um plano metálico de 11 por 16 metros, onde quatro vigas perimetrais amarram todo o conjunto e tocam o solo.
A distinção entre o público e o privado se dá pela materialidade. As vigas superiores desenham o caminho dos caixilhos, permitindo que o vidro circunde as áreas de estar, criando uma permeabilidade total com a cidade e a varanda. Já a intimidade é guardada pelo concreto, os cinzas que vedam a cozinha e os dormitórios.
Dois espelhos d'água organizam as atmosferas: um voltado para a sociabilidade da cozinha, outro para o silêncio do quarto. O banco laminar que flutua sobre a água não é mobiliário, é arquitetura; ele convida o corpo a deitar-se e ouvir o som da água corrente, integrando o homem ao fluxo natural das coisas.

In Vargem Grande Paulista, the house is not built; it is assembled. The premise is to make industrial intelligence explicit: metal, concrete, and glass articulate in a system of clear joints. Architecture must be legible. The ground floor is defined by a metallic plane of 11 by 16 meters, where four perimeter beams tie the whole set together and touch the ground.
The distinction between public and private is established by materiality. The upper beams draw the path for the frames, allowing glass to surround the living areas, creating total permeability with the city and the balcony. Intimacy, however, is guarded by concrete—the grays that seal the kitchen and the bedrooms.
Two water mirrors organize the atmospheres: one facing the sociability of the kitchen, the other facing the silence of the bedroom. The laminar bench floating above the water is not furniture, it is architecture; it invites the body to lie down and listen to the sound of running water, integrating man into the natural flow of things.
